| Go to http://urbandictionary.com/ and type in your answer to each question in the search box, then write the definition it gives you. If there's more than one, just pick the first one. I did not make any of these up, they came from this website.1) Your name? Joni
A term used to describe or name an extremely attractive member of the famale sex.
Can be also pertained as an exotic beauty.
A Joni is usually great at everything, has great hair, and a perfect smile. She has classic taste and is known to have dark mesmerising eyes. A Joni is usually exremely simular looking to Vanessa Hudgens minus the nude photo scandals.
2) Your age? 23
The greatest number of all time.
Reasons why: It is...
1. a prime number, as are 2 and 3. 2. Michael Jordan's number. 3. the NBA record for most consecutive points scored by a single player in a game, done by none other than Michael Jordan. 4. the number of chromosomes in a human sperm or egg. 5. the angle between the earth's magnetic and rotational axis. 6. the Tropic of Cancer at 23 degrees N Latitude. 7. the Tropic of Capricorn at 23 degrees S Latitude. 8. a .com and the page is very cryptic. 9. the most quoted Psalm in the bible ("The Lord is my shepherd..." 10. the number of people executed in "A Tale of Two Cities" 11. the smallest number of people for which there is at least a 50% chance that two will share the same birthday. 12. the standard TCP/IP port for Telnet. 13. one of the "Lost" numbers on the television show....also the sum of two of the other numbers (8 & 15)and the solution to 42-15-4=23, all of which are also Lost numbers. 14. the number of times Caesar was stabbed in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. 15. has been prominently featured in the following: Serendipity, Futurama, Star Wars A New Hope, Monty Python The Life of Brian, Seinfeld, The Big Lebowski, The Matrix Reloaded, and Die Hard III among MANY MANY other movies. 16. the number of flavors Dr. Pepper claims to be a blend of. 17. the number of distinct orientations of Tetris pieces. 18. the sum of U2, the greatest band ever. U is the 21st letter of the alphabet. 19. the number of letters in the latin alphabet. 20. the number of the Illuminati. 21. the letter W in the english alphabet, a letter with 2 points down and 3 points up. 22. the smallest number of integer sided boxes that tile a box such that no two boxes share a common length. 23. the only US president to serve between nonconsecutive terms of another president (23rd president Benjamin Harrison serving between Grover Cleveland's terms).
3) One of your friends: Michelle
Hebrew meaning "like God"...michelle's are often Leo's, astonishingly gorgeous, very athletic, dark hair and usually curly/waivy/thick, another thing is that almost all Michelle's have similar noses. 5) Favorite color? Pinkslang reference to the vagina 6) Hometown? Modesto A city in the central valley of California. Specifically, nor cal. Not the best to live, but definitely not the worst place to live either. The houses are too expensive, and the air pollution ranks among the worst in the nation. The population is generally diverse in this city of 200,000. Gained notoriety from the laci peterson case that occurred here. Also within the district of Gary Condit. Hometown of the famous director George Lucas. Has a decent nightlife scene in downtown. The local music scene is also very much alive. The word hella is used here often. Modesto is close to many popular destinations. 7) Month of your birthday? | I don't remember the last time I spent a weekend in Davis doing nothing.
Friday's events:
- Went to work. Dressed up because it was Discovery Day.
- Our payroll has changed from salary wages to hourly wages, which will go into effect some time next week.
- Another change at work: my title is no longer Legal Assistant; it is now Tax Resolution Assistant. How tacky does that sound?
- Picked out the apartment that Michelle & I will move-in to.
- Witnessed some stupid-ass driver CLEARLY run the red light at the Arden & Heritage intersection. He/she could've done a LOT of damage if he/she actually hit someone.
- Knocked out around 10pm.
Saturday's events:
- Woke up & turned on the TV
- Went to the Dollar Tree store to pick up cleaning stuff. Did you know that they except credit card? And on top of that, they accept Discover Card.
- Turned on the TV again & watched Lord of the Rings.
- Changed the plastic shower curtain & scrubbed the bath tub.
- Went to Target to return the size 6 shoes that I bought a couple of days ago. The size 6 is a bit tight, so I just ordered the size 6.5 online.
- Ate dinner at Sushi Unlimited. Now, I have hella ones in my wallet because I paid with my card, while everyone else gave me cash.
- Put my first load of laundry in the washer & dryer. Second load will have to go in tomorrow morning.
Today's events:
- Put my second load of laundry in the washer & dryer.
- Ate dim sum with Alvin & Michelle for lunch. It was my second time ever having dim sum.
- Went grocery shopping.
- Went to PCN alumni BBQ to see & be seen. We were hella waiting for a dance to practice, so then when Anthony passed by, I asked him if one of the dances could practice so that we could watch, and he says, "Yeah." And then I said, "Can you have them practice in the middle?" while I pointed to the middle of the courtyard in the sun. Then the rest of the alumni were all like, "Dang, Joni!"
- Got a pedicure, got Jamba Juice, & checked out the animals at Petco with Janette.
- Went to church with Anne.
Okay, so I didn't fully bum it, but it felt like a very relaxing weekend, and I enjoyed it.
In other news...
- It's official: I'm moving to Sacramento on May 17.
- My nephew will be born in September. That's right! It's a boy!!
- I'm eligible for medical and dental benefits from my employer. Health insurance will be HMO, and I have the option of choosing HMO or PPO for my dental insurance. Someone care to explain that to me?
- The sink, the dish drainer, and the dishwasher all finally have spent a weekend where they were not full. I think I spent a good 45 minutes on Thursday doing the dishes.
Next step...
- Start packing. Honestly, I don't really need to pack much because I just need to clear out my room, but still... I don't like packing.
Oh, and by the way, I'm seeing someone.
| The only times that I go out are with good people.
Last night, I celebrated my birthday (a week later) with my friends. We had dinner at the house and then headed out to three bars. Even thought I didn't get too drunk, I still had a good time.
To those who went (dinner and/or bar-hopping): THANK YOU!! I am so grateful for your friendship. I really appreciate it, and it means alot to me.
On another note:
I did say that the next time I would blog, I would be employed. So yes, I have a job as a legal assistant for a tax law firm. I've only been there for less than a month, and I'm still learning the ropes. I've been told that it can take as long as three months to get used to handling the files and making/taking client calls. I work in North Highlands, which is northeast of Sacramento. I want to move to Sacramento to cut my mileage by at least half. I'm still undecided as to whether I want to get a place by myself or get a roommate.
Since I got the new job, I got a new car: 2008 Toyota Corolla. I hope to get the license plate when I go back home for Thanksgiving. Oh and I scratched it yesterday afternoon. I was very saddened.
Last week, we got a free demonstration to clean our carpets. They got most of the stains out. The living room area looks so much cleaner now. It has a 90 day trial, so we're gonna return it before they charge us because full price is $1899. I felt so stupid because I thought they meant $18.99. They offer a payment plan of $75 a month for 36 months. That's already almost $3000. Now, that's insane for a freaking vacuum. My parents's vacuum costs around $500 and it's 12 pounds lighter than the $2000 one. Oh, whatever. We're returning it after we clean the whole house because there's no way I'm paying for ridiculously expensive vacuum and when I can get a vacuum that performs just as well at more than half the price.
So in order to end it, the whole point of this entry (other than the random updates) is to greet you all an early Happy Thanksgiving because after my birthday celebration, I'm very thankful for my friends who I know will take care of me through anything. So, thank you once again.

| So I ended my week of interviews, with my last one only lasting a mere 20 minutes at Mishka's Cafe.
I've passed on two jobs: one actually offered, and the other I passed after the interview. Sometimes, I really hope I made the right decision on declining the offer that was given to me. I'm not all about money, but I need to make ends meet. I don't want to rely on my parents anymore. They've done so much for me, and I'm very thankful and blessed, but it's time for me to take care of myself.
In addition to the materialistic things in life, there's also the spiritual aspect. I'm definitely at a crossroads, a milestone in my life. It's true: I do doubt myself, as you can see in my previous paragraph. I doubt everything now, whether I'm doing the right thing or not. Sometimes I feel like I should've gone straight to law school rather than take time off. But now that's I'm here, I don't know if I really want to go to law school within the next five years or the next 20 years. I'm not used to this one day at a time thing. I usually have a plan, whether the plan actually works out in the end is another thing, but I always have a plan. Now, I don't.
Hm... yeah, I'm just blabbing now because I'm stalling before I go back to Modesto. On a more exciting note: Isabella is coming to visit tomorrow. More pictures and video to come. She's getting used to me and the environment of my parent's house, so it's nice. Now, we just need for her to walk, and then that will be another story and a lot of running around.
Okay, I think I'll eat my leftovers and then go home. Ciao! Maybe next time I blog, I'll be employed. Eek!!
